Mobile Applications
Konstanz University of Applied Sciences
To create successful and positive user experiences, we must consider the ways in which humans interact with technology by studying user behavior and emotions, context of use, interaction techniques as well as assessment metrics. For this reason, this course introduces students to various socio-technical theories and methods, design (thinking) principles and guidelines for developing high quality mobile applications and interfaces through a user-centered design approach. During the course, students engaged with each stage of the human centered
design process from problem framing and product vision to prto-persona, requirements analysis, user stories, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping to production. Through this mix of in-depth theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience, the course provides the students with a valuable toolbox for designing, developing and evaluating digital products across a range of platforms and state-of-the-art-technologies.
